This version has been officially updated with a fleet battle power calculation that is much different than in the past, so we're delving into how to edit the fleet today.

The goal of this article, then, is:

Handy for editing your fleet to maximise fleet combat power!

First, let's take a look at the official announcement.

Official Announcement

A brief analysis of the announcement

The first sentence is about the official change to the battle formula.

The second sentence probably means that a better match can achieve the effect of 1+1>2.

The third sentence means that there is now no way to increase total strength by homeport stacking ships.

We were also given a friendly reminder at the end that the drop in battle power was due to poor matchmaking.

Then there is a question, what is a reasonable ship matching? How can we achieve the effect of 1+1>2?

A simple test will give you the answer.

First remove the fleet and re-assign it.

There are nine ships waiting to be assembled in the home harbour as shown in the diagram.

First find a random ship, put it in the flagship position, and save.

You can see the current fleet battle numbers, but a fleet with only a flagship obviously can't be called a fleet, so we put in another ship to make a fleet with two ships.

The power has increased, but this is far from a 1+1>2 increase, so is the ship placement not quite right? Try swapping ship positions.

There was a sudden and dramatic increase in combat power. Why?

Let's carefully analyse how these two ships are different.
Arbiter: output ship, full weaponry, high class
Dezta: defensive ship, low weaponry, low class

When Dezta is the flagship, the fleet is low on battle power.
High fleet combat power when the Arbiter is the flagship.

So what is causing the increase in warfighting power?

Putting ships with high combat power on the flagship? Or is it something else?

To probe further, I adjusted the ship's position again.

As you can see, the more you move this defence-leaning Dezta towards the fleet, the battle power drops slightly when it moves to the main wing, and then goes up a bit when it reaches the rear wing.
But what's the difference between putting it in the front and putting it in the back?

Some may have noticed that putting each row gets a different type of bonus, except for the bonus?
Probability of taking a hit!
The probability of being hit is different when placed in the front row than in the back row, so when placing Dezta in the front, it will be attacked first, and so the Arbiter, located in the flagship, will have a superior chance of output.

And on the flip side, when the Arbiter is attacked in the front row first, the Arbiter is destroyed first, leaving the remaining Dezta with no output, which explains why there is such a big battle gap when you switch positions.

Okay, so we arrive at the first important rule.

Defensive ships are to be placed in the front row and attacking ships in the back row!

While the guide was being written, another official announcement was made, explaining the new Battle Power Calculation Formula in detail.

Official Second Announcement

But it's this little paragraph that deserves attention.

According to the announcement, it will not be difficult to add ships to the fleet again.

Firstly sort out whether we want to add an attack or defence type of ship.

If it's an attack ship, then throw it straight to the back row.

Like this.

Then if it's a defence ship, throw it forward.

But here, as you can see, there was a pretty horrific increase in battle power.

And the difference between them is simply 3 ships and 4 ships.

So what's so special about the fourth ship?

Take a screenshot to show you the skills

That's right, an unparalleled defence increase that dramatically pulls up the fleet's defence score, allowing the rear row of ships to output for longer periods of time.
This is also in line with the announcement that putting defensive ships in the front row will raise the defence score higher.

So what happens if I take a defence ship and fit it with output components?
Speaking of which, let's pull a full weapon on Dezta and replace all the components with hits.

The war power has dropped ........
It seems to be due to a drop in defence score.
That's why it's best for people to match ships that don't go against the attributes of the ship itself. (Except for some special ships)

But at the same time we can derive a second rule:
The more ships in the fleet the better!
After all, the more ships you have, the more your fleet defence and attack scores improve.

Then the next job is simple, just sort the ships into categories and fill them in.

After filling it in according to the first formation rule summarised earlier, the fleet became this.

But is there any room for optimising this formation?

Of course there is, one of Augustus' skills is only effective if it's located on the main or front wing, but since it's one of our main outputs, the main wing is where it should be, not put on the front wing to eat the highest probability of taking a hit.

So who to swap places with on the main wing?

Let's look at Poseidon's skills first
Well, it's not bad. It's an option.

And what about Enterprise?
Enterprise is obviously better to put in the back row right, after all, the back row of this hero is the laser bonus, and putting it in the back row makes the output a bit higher.

After the swap, it's great, and the battle power has gone up another notch.

So now what, is there room for improvement?

Take a look at the current flagship skills

Obviously not very good looking, get a better one.

Like this one from the Immortal Throne.
Try switching over.

The fleet strength has gone up some more!

But that's not all, this formation isn't perfect yet, let's see if there's anything we can change?
Firstly swap the full ponies and Sinn that we left behind.

In terms of combat power, it's obvious that a full pony bonus will be a bit higher than a low Synn.

This suggests that the new war power calculations will also take into account the equipment of individual ships.

Then swap the Poseidon on the main wing with the Arbiter on the rear.

Why does switching it up give you a battle boost?
Then we have to show off the Arbiter's divine defence skills
Because of it, you can totally use this ship as a defence ship.

As I write this, I have a new idea.
If a fleet is full of defence ships, or full of attack ships, will it be more powerful than a fleet with a balanced attack and defence?
give it a try

Firstly, a purely defensive fleet

Then there's the pure attack fleet.

It may seem that a pure attack fleet is a bit more powerful than a pure defence fleet, but there is a problem, such fleets are quite fragile.
If the front and main wings within the fleet are taken out in a single wave from the opposite side, there's not much output time for the back row.

And neither is as warlike as a fleet with a balanced attack and defence!

This leads us to a third conclusion:

Purely offensive or defensive fleets won't do. Fleets are balanced.

After some simple experiments, we completed a fleet formation, once again highlighting the rules for focusing on formations:

1. Defence type ships should be placed in the front row and attack type ships in the back row!
2. The more ships in the fleet the better, a standard fleet is usually 9 ships.
3. A well-balanced offensive and defensive fleet has better fighting ability than a purely offensive or defensive fleet.
4. look at the skills of the ships in the fleet more often, maybe it has revealed where the ships are in the fleet.
Having said that about fleet pairings, there's also a special update for this version.

The fleet's front row weapon composite index converts to a buff.

This skill will not be unlocked until the hero reaches level 60, so it was tested.

Before unlocking the fourth skill

After unlocking the fourth skill and raising the skill to level 2

Pros: provides a certain amount of various attribute bonuses and is freely selectable, and yes, the skill is replaceable, for a little GEC.
Cons: This thing counts bonuses based on weapon strength. If you want the effect to be strong, then you have to load the front row of ships with weapons, and the better the weapons you load, the higher the bonus. If you have extra weapons, you can load them in the front row. Currently do not understand the full level after the value of how, I hope that some big brother upgraded to full level to say a few words.

Fleet matching is very important in this game, it is a necessary process for a player to advance from a novice to a master, especially in the peak canopy activities, the one-on-one fleet battles, more testing fleet matching.

Well, that's it for this article, I hope you've gained something from reading it.
