In "Infinity Kingdom," many newcomers have little understanding of how to build their first cost-effective team that can smoothly transition to the mid-game.
Today, let's talk about what kind of teams are suitable for players with different levels of spending.
Before building a team, let's understand a fundamental knowledge about the entire team - elements.
There are seven elements in the game: water, fire, earth, wind, thunder, light, and darkness. The restraint relationships are as follows:
Light and darkness are two special elements. It is impossible for non-whale players to form a complete team with these two elements, so we will not discuss them.
When the same element of heroes are in the same team, they will gain buff effects (elemental aura).
A team can have four heroes, two in the front row and two in the back row, plus an elemental dragon, for a total of five units. Our basic requirement for team formation is to be able to assemble a team of the same element.
Apart from the Light Dragon and the Dark Dragon (which can only be obtained after reaching VIP level 15), other elemental dragons can be obtained by completing basic main missions.
The Water Dragon is the first dragon given, and water heroes are also the easiest to obtain in the early stage. Therefore, generally, low to medium spenders will use the water team as their first main team.
Early game team for F2P/low spenders - Brunhild, Eulji Mundok, Helen, and Merlin
For F2P players, the channels to obtain epic heroes in the game are basically only through missions and summons in the Hall of Heroes, which is very uncertain. Therefore, the transition team in the early stage is mainly composed of superior heroes.
Brunhild and Eulji Mundok are two heroes that have a relatively high probability of being summoned in the Hall of Heroes, and Helen is one of the team compositions that can be obtained as a reward in game missions.
In the market, we also have a certain probability of finding superior heroes and their fragments, which is also a good way to obtain the above heroes. The soul crystal rewards and gems obtained through early missions and activities are enough for us to exchange for this team.
However, without spending, we will miss a powerful water mage. Therefore, it is recommended that players exchange for a Merlin according to the minimum recharge standard of $0.99, so that the water team can be truly complete.
As an aside, if you really want to go F2P, then pray that you can draw Yoshitsune, because in the early stage, there are no other purple water attribute back-row heroes besides Helen.
After forming the first team, players can constantly collect hero fragments to improve the star rating of the heroes in the entire team by doing missions to accumulate Philosopher's Stones for summons, purchasing in the market, and searching for treasures in ports. This will enhance the overall strength of the team.
Monthly card and regular spending players' early team - Merlin, Yoshitsune, Attila, and Harald III
This team is relatively easy and fast to form for monthly card and regular spending players. Among them, Merlin, which is obtained from the first recharge, is a necessary output for the water team.
Attila can be obtained by purchasing three special treasure chests for $5.97 and collecting 20 mysterious beads from the treasure chest. It is equivalent to buying it with just over 30 yuan, which is very cost-effective.
Harald III can be redeemed from the arena rewards after upgrading the level 11 main city and unlocking the arena. Each 200 points can be exchanged for a fragment. Counting the daily arena rewards, it takes about a week to collect enough fragments. The difficulty of obtaining it is relatively low.
Yoshitsune requires a certain amount of luck to draw from the Hall of Heroes. If not available, Helen can be used as a substitute in the early stage.
After the hero team is assembled, fragments can be obtained in the market, allowing for quick upgrades to increase star ratings. When reaching 3, 5, and 7 stars, additional skills can be equipped, resulting in significant changes in combat effectiveness.
Early team for medium to high spenders - Earth Team (Zenobia, Cleopatra, Charlemagne, Alexander)
When most people are focusing on water teams, having an earth team can provide a significant advantage due to elemental advantages.
However, compared to the water team, the earth team heroes are more difficult to collect.
Cleopatra can be drawn, and Alexander can be redeemed in the Mysterious Bead Shop, making them relatively easy to obtain.
The other two heroes require a certain level of spending. Charlemagne costs $99, while Zenobia requires VIP5 (roughly around a thousand dollars). The essence of the earth element is to be tanky, as seen from their skills.
Charlemagne's basic skill provides a shield for all allies.
Zenobia is a supportive healer who provides continuous healing.
With strong front-line heroes, the back-row heroes are generally worry-free. This team composition heavily counters the water team.
Overall, the water and earth teams are the main choices in the early game. Once a direction is chosen, it is recommended to stick with it instead of trying to cultivate both teams simultaneously due to limited resources.
Cultivation Suggestions - Spend Wisely!
In the early stages, the first main team can handle almost all tasks, whether it's in the arena or clearing dungeons. With a strong team, players can overcome various challenges.
After obtaining such a team, it is recommended to prioritize cultivating the back-row heroes in the team. This is because they mainly bear the output role in the team, so rapidly leveling up their levels and star ratings, as well as prioritizing their promotions, is crucial.
Therefore, in the process of cultivating the team, players should avoid wasting experience books and promotion items on other heroes besides the first team (unless there is a genuine excess). Instead, when obtaining these heroes, players should immediately maximize their potential. Only when their overall level catches up with the existing heroes and further promotions are temporarily not possible, should players consider cultivating other teams.
Regarding star upgrades, players should also prioritize purchasing fragments for this team in the market. If soul crystals are insufficient, it is recommended that regular players directly exchange fragments of other elemental heroes for soul crystals. This is because it is extremely difficult to obtain complete teams of these elements, and even if the corresponding heroes are drawn, it is challenging to form a complete team.
Additionally, all heroes can be reborn without loss. During rebirth, all cultivation fragments, experience, and promotion materials will be returned. Therefore, if players want to change elemental teams in the mid to late game, it is not a major concern. Teams can be quickly cultivated in the short term.
That's it for the initial team cultivation introduction.
